Immediate Dentures
Complete & Partial Dentures
When complete extractions of your remaining teeth becomes unavoidable, an immediate denture is a solution. An immediate denture is a complete denture or partial denture inserted on the same day, immediately following the removal of natural teeth. On the day of delivery, you will be seen in oral surgery for extractions of the appropriate teeth, followed immediately by the insertion of the immediate denture. This process will help you avoid the embarrassment of being without teeth and can aid in speeding up the healing process. We will be committed to a lifetime of service for all your denture needs.
Precision Denture Clinic takes great pride in providing our patients with their beautiful new smiles resulting in improvements on their appearance. It is not uncommon for our patients to have a positive emotional experience when getting their first dentures.

There are several advantages to an immediate denture. The most important factor is that you will never need to appear in public without teeth. When an immediate denture is inserted at the time of extraction, it will act as a Band-Aid to protect the tissues, reduce bleeding and promote blood clotting which starts the healing process. An immediate denture will allow you to establish your speech patterns early (phonetics) and properly chew your food (function). Esthetically, your facial muscles will not adjust to your mouth ‘without teeth’ minimizing overall facial distortion.
During the healing period, postoperative instruction from the surgeon and denturist must be followed carefully. Your gums and bone will resorb to a much smaller size as the tooth sockets close. Regular check-ups and maintenance are imperative to ensure ideal healing. Temporary linings or tissue conditioners will be required to ensure proper fit and may be repeated based on your physiological healing rate.
After healing when the soft tissues underlying bone has resorbed, the immediate denture must be finalized by a permanent reline or a new denture may be constructed to ensure a comfortable and exact fit.
No two dentures are made using the same approach nor are they exactly alike. It is truly more than a denture- it is a work of art.
